Certification: Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)

This time will have a look at Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA). It seems similar to Certified Software Tester, although this one is for quality analyst, not for tester. It indicates a professional level of competence in the principles and practices of quality assurance. and that is much more than testing. Broader.
Guess the certification organisation should be the same.
The best info is here, at software certifications

So, the requirements are pretty the same as for the CSTE, every candidate must:
Satisfy all applicant Prerequisites.
Subscribe to the Code of Ethics.
Submit a Character Reference.
Pass a comprehensive written Examination.

Also you should work in the field, have experience, etc. Candidates for certification who rely on only limited experience, or upon too few or specific study materials, typically do not successfully obtain certification. Many drop out without ever taking the examination. Fees in this program are nonrefundable. Do not apply unless you feel confident that your work activities and past experience have prepared you for the examination process.
This seems high: To qualify for candidacy, each applicant must meet one of three prerequisites:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college-level institution,
An associate degree and two years of experience in the information services field, or
Six years of experience in the information services field.

There is also Body of Knowledge, that covers Skill Categories:
Quality Principles
Software Development, Acquisition, and Operation Processes
Quality Models and Quality Assessment
Quality Management/Leadership
Quality Assurance
Quality Control Practices
Define, Build, Implement, and Improve Work Processes
Quantitative Methods

The fees for CSQA examination is USD 250. well, found this info not in official site, so afraid to say that is real sum. According to new information, the sum has increased to 350 USD.

Exams are avalable only in India, USA, CANADA, Jordan, China. Seems no Europe.

In my opinion this exam is not so necessary for software tester as CSTE. Think that a person only testing software, should not take this unless he is interested and work in quality assuarance field.
